The Artist Archetype

I am Constance Jacob, my new art studio (courtesy of Jeff Fontaine & Ian Preest), is loaded  with  supplies, two kilns, and plenty of space to create.  I am an artist and interior designer who spent 30 years in Denver/Boulder creating murals, hand painted art/motifs for walls, faux finishes, hand made wallpaper, relief work, venetian plaster,  hand troweled wall textures and  relief wall sculpture. 

I have taught classes on Design, Color, Faux Finishes, Hand made Wallpaper, and Feng Shui, to name a few.  My classes included children's classes in the Denver School System call "Kids Space Art Club".

My work has been showcased on the cover of national magazines (Better Homes & Garden, Home Ideas Magazine)  and hundreds newspapers across the country.  My handmade wallpaper company, L'Exprea Wallpaper was sold internationally.

CRAFTS

Artists love creating! And Capricorn's delight in everything business, its true!  My many "hobbies" have grown into businesses for "Big Fun" over the years - Earth and Fire Custom Candles, Uncivilized Lighting - Lamps and Shades made from handmade papers, Sez It Greeting Cards, Home & Garden Signs, Miyya Alexander - Jewelry, are a few.

The journey is not near over, and does not end with Ravenwood Farm Shop. I have been blessed, my work always involves one of my passions - so the labor was never really work. If you are an artist archetype and your family and friends tell you that you cannot make a living doing/selling art, do not believe them!  We are all in essence creators.
